How to Make American Flag S’mores Dip

This simple, sweet dip is super easy. You will make it in no time!

  1.  Prepare. Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  2. Make the Marshmallows. Fill two small bowls with red and blue sanding sugar. If desired, prepare a third bowl with white sanding sugar—but we prefer leaving the white marshmallows plain for that classic golden s’mores look.
  3. Skewer one marshmallow at a time with a toothpick and dip it into a bowl of water until fully coated.

  2. Using clean kitchen scissors, cut all the marshmallows (coated and plain) in half. Wipe the blades between colors to keep things neat.

Tips & Tricks – Patriotic Flag S’mores Dip

• If desired, prepare a third bowl with white sanding sugar for the white marshmallows, but we prefer leaving the white marshmallows plain for that classic golden s’mores look.

• Make these individually in ramekins. Get creative and do each one in different colors to arrange in the shape of an American flag.

• To store the dip, let it cool completely. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven (covered) or in the microwave in short increments to prevent burning.

Want to Change it Up?

If you want to change this recipe up, use whole chocolate bars, white chocolate chips, or even a cookies and cream chocolate bar. Get creative with decorating. Add July 4th sprinkles to get even more patriotic!
