Tips & Tricks – Loaded S’mores Bark

• Control the thickness by keeping it about ¼–½ inch thick. Too thick = hard to bite. Too thin = breaks unevenly.

• Chocolate starts setting (quickly) as it cools. Have all toppings prepped before you melt so you’re not scrambling while it thickens.

• If you want neat squares instead of rustic bark, run a knife under hot water, dry it, and slice. This prevents cracking.

• Store in an airtight container at cool room temperature for up to 3–5 days. Refrigerate if your kitchen is warm, but let it come to room temperature before serving.

• Freezing is not recommended due to changing the texture, especially with the marshmallows.

Want to Change it Up?

To change up this recipe, you can drizzle salted caramel syrup on top, along with or in place of the chocolate drizzle. Decorate with themed sprinkles: fall, Halloween, Christmas, etc.

More variations:

  • Mixing chocolate types:
    • Dark (cuts sweetness)
    • Milk (classic flavor)
    • White (for drizzle or swirl)
*Swirling these together gives a nice marbled look.
  • Adding crunch contrast:
    • Pretzels (salty + crunchy)
    • Toffee bits
    • Rice cereal
    • Chopped nuts (almonds or peanuts work great)
  • Adding a “wow” drizzle:
    • Caramel
    • Peanut butter
    • Cookie butter
    • Condensed milk (a tiny bit) for richness
