Great White Shark Popsicles

Popsicles are like a summer staple food, are they not? I know they were in my childhood, and I’m pretty sure they are for today’s kids too.

Back in the day, we didn’t make them much. However, today? Oh yeah…super *popular* and super fun. The best part? You can CUSTOMIZE them. Yesss!! Make what you want. Get creative. Have fun AND stay cool during summer!

I based these pops off one of my absolute favorite events during summer – *Shark Week*! I’m not a huge fan of the heat (much more of a winter fan). So believe me, this is an achievement and a rare occurrence.

I LOVE how these Great White Shark popsicles turned out! Gummy blue raspberry-marshmallow flavored shark candy meets a citrusy, frozen base. Absolutely perfect for beating the heat!

Equipment

hot pink 10-count popsicle mold with its lid, baggie of disposable popsicle sticks and white reusable sticks

You will need popsicle molds to make these (and most other popsicles). I like this set because it comes with individual bags and both disposable and reusable sticks. It also comes in a few different colors.

What You’ll Need

You only need to gather a few ingredients to make this frozen sweet treat!

  • Sprite
  • lemonade
  • gummy shark candy
  • light blue food coloring (optional)

Note: Always check the recipe card for a full list of ingredients, amounts, and steps.

Tips & Tricks – Great White Shark Popsicles

• If you want lighter blue or swirled popsicles, only add 1 drop of food coloring and lightly swirl vs stirring to combine. Add an additional drop if needed to achieve the desired color.

• Omit the food coloring if you want white/clear popsicles or for the sharks to be a pop of color.

• 3 gummy sharks will fit in each popsicle, but the ones with 2 turned out better.

Want to Change it Up?

Change up these shark popsicles by adding different colors of food coloring or even different flavors of Sprite. You can also eliminate the lemonade for a “clearer” popsicle. Be creative!
