Crockpot Crack Chicken

Two things I’m totally addicted to are crockpot recipes and crack chicken recipes. More on the latter in a second. Let’s get back to the crockpot. It doesn’t get much easier than dump-and-go meals. Set it and leave it. Low maintenance. Easy, fast cleanup. I think you get the idea.

Back to the crack chicken. It gets its name because, yep, you guessed it. It’s THAT addicting. As we say in the South, it’s slap-yo-mama good! No, seriously…it is.

My favorite dip, crack dip, inspired this recipe. I will bring y’all that one soon. For now, let this recipe grace your slow cookers asap! While the dip recipe features Italian sausage, this one features chicken. Of course, the chicken makes it a bit lighter and healthier but NO less tastier!

Although I didn’t create crockpot crack chicken, I adapted this recipe from my beloved crack dip recipe. The differences are minor but oh-so-major in taste. The secret is doubling the cream cheese. Okay, I added a little more meat too but the secret is in the cream cheese!

Want to Change it Up?

Don’t have any chicken on hand? This recipe would be just as delicious and flavorful with pork. Cut the pork into chunks and shred when cooking time is complete. This will be a much heavier variation and will alter the nutritional value.
