How to Make Red Velvet Pancakes
Time to make your yummy, festive pancakes!
- Start by placing your flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cocoa in a large bowl. Whisk until combined.

- Add in your milk, vanilla extract, melted butter, food coloring and egg. Mix until very well combined.

- Use a piping bag for your batter. Pipe batter into a well greased skillet on medium low heat. Cooking pancakes low and slow is key, and the piping bag makes for less mess and perfect pancakes.
- Cook until the edges are cooked through and the bubbles on top begin to pop. Then quickly flip your pancake and cook the other side, just until baked through. It takes a minute or less.

- Fit a piping bag with a 1M tip and then fill the bag with frosting. Pipe frosting between each pancake and a little on top.
- Serve with syrup if desired and enjoy!

Tips & Tricks – Red Velvet Pancakes
• Don’t overmix the batter: Mix until just combined to keep pancakes light and tender.
• Use a non-stick skillet or griddle: Ensures even cooking and easy flipping.
• Let the pan heat properly: Medium heat is best; too high will burn the pancakes.
• Add color gradually: A little food coloring goes a long way; stop when you reach a vibrant red.
• Stack and serve immediately: Red velvet pancakes are fluffiest when served hot.
