How to Make Apple & Brie Crostinis
These are simple and come together very easily. So, let’s get to it!
- Prepare. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Cut the baguette diagonally into half inch slices and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes.
- Cut the brie into ¼ inch thick slices and thinly slice the apples while the bread is in the oven. Cut each piece of prosciutto vertically into thirds and roll into a tiny looking log.

- Remove the bread and spread ½ tablespoon apricot jam on each slice. Then add an apple slice and piece of brie to each. Place back into the oven for 2 minutes.

- Remove and top each slice of bread with a few pieces of arugula and 1 log of rolled prosciutto.

Drizzle with balsamic glaze and enjoy immediately.

Tips & Tricks – Apple & Brie Crostinis
• Choose the Right Apple: Crisp, slightly tart apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith balance the richness of the brie perfectly.
• Room-Temperature Brie: Let the brie sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before spreading—it melts beautifully without becoming runny.
• Drizzle Balsamic Glaze Last: Add balsamic glaze just before serving to keep the crostinis looking glossy and fresh.
• For Best Taste: Make these right before guests arrive so the brie is still warm and delicious!
Want to Change it Up?
Here are some variations if you prefer different ingredients or are vegetarian:
- Nutty Twist: Add a sprinkle of toasted walnuts, pecans, or almonds on top for extra crunch and flavor.
- Fruit Swap: Substitute apples with pears or figs for a slightly different sweet profile.
- Cheese Swap: Try camembert or goat cheese instead of brie for a tangy or creamy alternative.
- Savory Upgrade: Add a thin layer of Dijon mustard under the brie for a subtle zing.
- Sweet Drizzle: Swap apricot jam for fig jam, honey, or a fruit chutney to change the sweetness.
- Herb Garnish: Fresh thyme, rosemary, or arugula adds a fresh, fragrant finish.
- Vegetarian Option: Skip the prosciutto and use roasted red peppers or sun-dried tomatoes for a savory touch.
